PRE READING ACTIVITIES-TASK 3

PRE READING ACTIVITIES-TASK 1

Hello Students! Here you have some pre reading activities that you have to do by posting  comments in this blog. There are three tasks about the book 1984 by Geroge Orwell so be sure that you complete all the tasks. 

TASK 1: 
  • What do you know about George Orwell? Each Student should provide new information (No more than 6 sentences), starting with his date of birth if you are the first. BE CAREFUL! You can not repeat your classmates information; therefore, you will have to read their comments before writing  your comment.
  • What is the historical context of the book? You'll have to research into Orwell's background to understand why he wrote the book when he did it.

Recipes!!!!

 Another recipe: HUMITAS!!!! The video is not complete because we had some problems to upload it, anyway, watch these girls cooking.



 The fifth recipe was made by Jorge, Ximena, Daniela and Diana. Delicious buñuelos!!! Good edition Xime. This was another option that you could have used: a video made with photos. Well done!!

 Alfajores!!yummy!!! This power point presentation was made by Mirian, Iris, Vanesa, Rosa and Veronica. Another delicious recipe!! The pictures are great. That was exactly what I wanted you to do. Good job girls!!!!

Here we have the first group that made their recipe video!!!!!! Clap, clap,clap!!!! for you !!! This video is AMAAAAAZIIIIG!! I laughed a lot. The edition is excellent and the girls are incredible. NET, but this is very easy.

HHello everyone!!
Here I am to remind you about your 2nd assignment. As we are learning vocabulary relatod to foods and cooking, you will have to prepare and present  a recipe in a very creative way. I have suggested you preparing a video of you cooking, or a powerpoint presentation with pictures of you explaining the recipe. Of course, you can suggest other ideas. You should try to upload on You TUBE (don't forget to send me the link) or give it to me so that I can do it. There's a software called Windows movie maker, most computers with WINDOWS XP  have it in their ALL PROGRAMS SECTION and its the easiest software to create home movies. Power point presentations should be sent to me by email or in a CD.

Welcome!!!

Hello everyone!! Welcome to Language 2!!!
My name is Yesica R. Baracat. I'm your Language 2 teacher.We are going to be together for one year and I hope we can get on well and learn together. Language 2 is aimed to develop your English language skills so that you can reach an upper-intermediate level. Therefore, you need a lot of speaking, reading, listening and writing practice to improve. This blog is intended to be used as a "disscussion board allowing all of you an equal environment in which to participate in class discussions. Here you will also can have access to the class schedule and assignments; useful links; homework and your own works posted on the blog. I want you to participate in this blog whose aim is to give you a place where we can be in contact and practice English. All asingments here will be considered as "practicos"; therefore, they will be assessed by the teacher.
I hope you enjoy this year which is part of your training as future teachers.

ACTIVITY:

Here you have a short video about a documentary movie which shows in a funny way how people from China were desperate to learn English during the Olympic games.It made me think about the importance of English as a univesal language nowadays. My favorite one is the policeman at the very end.
