1. Will Winston risk his life by opposing the government?
ReplyDeleteHow can I know? Do I have to guess? Well, let's suppose, yes. He will risk his life. As he's the main character he won't die doing that.
2. Can the love between him and Julia survive? If I continue with my theory that Winston is the main character, yes. Their love can survive, although it will be more interesting if Julia die and Winston decide to take revange.
3. How would you feel in that situation?
ReplyDeleteGeez... Totally observed and invaded, where is the privacy?
4. What kind of information does the Government have about Mr Kelly?
Everything, adresses, state health, purchases...
5. Is the government controlling people's lives nowadays? How?
Of course yes, I mean, with education, medias, what about medias?! They control people minds through tv, internet, radio, etc. Nowadays is hard to think by ourself without beeing influenced by opinions from another people.
Good for you Matias you have participated in all the tasks! Great! Keep enjoying your winter holidays! C U
ReplyDeleteI think that Winston will risk his life opposing the government because he doesn't like that kind of life.
ReplyDeleteAnd the love between him and Julia will survive, perhaps in secret during a period but at the end it will be a true love.
I presume that I would feel very angry being observed all the time and living without privacy. I imagine myself furious with the government because of its control over me and all the people.
ReplyDeleteThe government has all the information about Mr Kelly, address, phone number, travels, purchases, health, etc.
I think that now a days the government can control people with diferent kinds of politics in education, medias, work, economy and everything where it can have control.
1) I think Winston would risk his life to oppose the government as he seeks changes in the society and so things would be better.
ReplyDelete2) The love between him and Julia can survive as the two could join forces to bring about change.
3)In that situation I would feel very angry because they are invading my privacy.
4) The government have information about Mr. Kelly's date of birth, his address, marital status, current job, employment history. They also have information about his credit cards, purchases made, about his health, etc.
5) The government controls people's lives these days but in other ways, more indirectly, for example by the means of communication, or with cameras in the city, etc.
question Nº1:
ReplyDelete*Of course I believe Winston will risk his life as he is unhappy with the way the thing are. Moreover, he is opposed the goverment. I feel he will take action against it.
Question Nº2:
*I'd like the love between Winston and Julia survive. However, I'd like to see much more drama before a happy ending. Otherwise I'll consider it as another common relationship.
Question Nº3:
* If I were in that situation, I'd feel very angry as I wouldn't have privacy. I wouldn't have freedom, it would be as a jail.
Question Nº4:
*The goverment knows everything about Mr. Kelly since the health, work, adress and many other details about personal information.
Question Nº5:
*From my point of view, I consider the goverment is controlling people's lives. It does it in different ways, for instance it controles the information which is printed in the newspapers. However, there is an important tool that the goverment can't control completely, "the internet". If we know how to use it and take advantages of it, we'll be able to see the reality. We MUST remember that "KNOWLEDGE MEANS POWER".
